Transit riders should prepare for transit service delays and reroutes on Friday, June 12, due to the Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County planned general strike and silent march. The events will honor lives lost and the effort to dismantle systemic racism.

Routes 14 and 48 are expected to be on reroute due to the events in Judkins Park and Jefferson Park. Other marches may take place across King County, and riders are encouraged to sign up for transit alerts to receive updated information about service disruptions.

While every effort is made to keep transit customers informed, real-time service updates are not always available in fast-changing situations. Transit riders are advised to be aware of conditions in their immediate vicinity – such as street closures and detours–and be prepared for delays or to make changes to travel plans – such as using a different bus stop or a different route.
