October welcomes many West Seattle transit improvements by land and sea. Numerous bus routes have been restored or beefed up, and water taxi service will continue day service uninterrupted this winter. We hope this improves your mobility choices around the region while the West Seattle Bridge remains closed!

West Seattle service highlights and changes include:
Service Frequency Improvements
- Route 50: We’ve nearly doubled the number of weekday trips in West Seattle! Service expands to every 15 minutes (improved from the previous schedule of every to 20 to 30 minutes) between Alki and the SODO Link Station between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays. *This is key for riders accessing the broader light rail network via the expanded 1 Line to U District, Roosevelt and Northgate stations.
- Route 60: We’ve improved frequency to every 12 minutes or less between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., then every 20 minutes until 10 p.m. weekdays. (Service to south peninsula commercial areas, South Park, Georgetown and First Hill.)
- Route 120: It now runs 10 minutes or sooner in both directions from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.
- The RapidRide C Line: It now runs every 10 minutes or better in both directions from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. (Ride from any Link station to Alki, Admiral or Alaska Junction.)
- Services improvements on the 50, 60, 120 and C lines are thanks to funding by voters in the City of Seattle, as part of the Seattle Transportation Measure!
- 113 and 121: Both have resumed.
- 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. trips on Route 113. (Includes downtown White Center, downtown Seattle, University Street Link Light Rail station and the Seattle Ferry terminal.)
- 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. trips on Route 121 (Includes Highline Community College, Des Moines, Normandy Park and Burien to downtown Seattle.)
Restoring Suspended Service
- Route 22 (local) serving Arbor Heights, Westwood Village and Alaska Junction will be restored on weekdays with buses about every hour.
- Route 113 (express) serving Shorewood, White Center and downtown Seattle will see four weekday peak service trips restored during the morning and evening commutes.
- Route 121 (express) serving Highline College, Burien Town Center and downtown Seattle will see 10 peak service trips restored during the morning and evening commutes.
And remember: The West Seattle route of the Water Taxi will continue its summer sailing schedule. Starting Oct. 15, shuttle routes 773 and 775 will operate only during weekday peak commutes.
