Metro Weekend Update – January 16-19, 2026
Weekend Service Impacts
- Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 13, 14, 21, 24, 27, 28, 33, 40, 56, 62, 124, 131, 132, RapidRide C, D, E, and H Lines will be affected by the closure of 3rd Avenue & Virginia Street from Friday, January 16 at 7 p.m. to Monday, January 19 at 5 a.m. due to construction;
- Route 21 will be affected in both directions on Saturday, January 17th for the Seahawk game; stops on portions of 1st Avenue S will not be served; use alternate stops on 4th Avenue S instead;
- ST 545 to Downtown Seattle will be rerouted off of SR 520 between Montlake Boulevard and I-5 from Saturday, January 17 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, January 18 at 1 p.m. due to construction;
- ST 554 to Downtown Seattle is rerouted off I-90 between Mercer Island and 4th Avenue S from Friday, January 16 at 10 p.m. to Saturday, January 17 at 6 a.m. due to construction;
- Water Taxi: West Seattle route will run late service on Saturday, January 17th after the Seahawks game. Additional sailings depart Pier 50 at 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. Shuttles from Seacrest (Routes 773 & 775) will run late as well;

Service Reminders
- Take transit to all your sporting and community events in Seattle. Metro and Link light rail serve riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field, and Climate Pledge Arena;
- Seattle U Redhawks will play at the Climate Pledge Arena at 7 p.m. on Saturday;
- The Seahawks will play at Lumen Field at 5 p.m. on Saturday;
- The Seattle Torrent will play at the Climate Pledge Arena at 7 p.m. on Sunday;
- The Seattle Kraken will play at the Climate Pledge Arena at 2 p.m. on Monday;
- Water Taxi is operating on the winter sailing schedule as of Saturday, October 11;
- West Seattle & Vashon Island routes will be operating normal weekday schedule on Monday, January 19th for MLK Jr Holiday;
- Seattle Center Monorail will operate 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
- Riders can use Text for Departures by texting their stop number to 62550 to get next departure times;
