Last February, we asked riders of Route 245 to provide feedback about the possible reduction of service on Route 245. Thank you to the dozens of people who took the time to share their thoughts.

Unfortunately, the Regional Mobility grant from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) that funded additional service on routes 240 and 245 will expire on June 30. As a result of the funding expiring and input from riders about how best to reduce service, several trips on both routes are being discontinued starting Saturday, June 8.

Discontinued trips on Route 245… On weekdays, four southbound trips to Factoria leaving the Kirkland Transit Center at 12:03 and 6:14 a.m., and 6:14 and 6:44 p.m. will be discontinued. Four northbound trips to Kirkland leaving Factoria at 6:31 a.m. and 6:08, 6:38 and 7:08 p.m. will also be discontinued. On weekends, one southbound trip leaving the Kirkland Transit Center at 11:55 p.m. will be discontinued.

Discontinued trips on Route 240… Starting June 8, several Route 240 trips will be discontinued. Six northbound trips to Bellevue leaving the Renton Transit Center at 7:22 and 7:53 a.m. and 1:28, 1:56, 2:25 and 3:10 p.m. will be discontinued. Six southbound trips to Renton leaving the Bellevue Transit Center at 8:50 and 9:20 a.m. and 2:50, 3:20, 3:50 and 4:20 p.m. will also be discontinued.
