With our region growing and changing, it’s time to start thinking about transit service for the future. Metro will be conducting a long-range planning effort over the next year and a half. We want to work with you, local jurisdictions, and community stakeholders across the region to craft a plan to get more people where they want to go, faster and easier, over the next 25 years.
The plan will describe an integrated network of transportation options, the facilities and technology needed to support those services, and the financial requirements for building the system. It will be developed in close coordination with Sound Transit and other transportation agencies. It will also meet the Puget Sound Regional Council’s transportation goals.
The plan will guide Metro through 2040 in providing a coordinated, regional transportation system that improves the lives of all King County residents.
