The Women/Womxn’s Marches and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day all take place this holiday weekend, and with the viaduct’s closure, planning ahead will be all the more important.
Seattle Womxn Marching Forward rally and march on Saturday, Jan. 19: Additional buses and light rail available; more details here.
We are the Change Women’s March 3.0 on Sunday, Jan. 20: Metro has standby buses available as needed to supplement our Sunday schedule.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day + March on Monday, Jan. 21: Metro will operate on a holiday schedule but many routes will be unaffected. More here. (Water Taxi will operate both of its routes on the MLK Day holiday for the first time!)
Transportation aside, Metro also recommends that you:
- Map your route ahead of time
- Pad your schedule and be patient
- Identify alternate routes
- Pay with ORCA to make it faster for you and everybody else
