King County Metro and the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) have been working in partnership on the Route 40 Transit-Plus Multimodal Corridor Project. The goal of the project is to reduce bus travel times by 5-10% during peak periods, improve transit service reliability, and make it safer and easier to access transit.
Last year, over 1,000 of you shared your ideas for improving Route 40. Our public outreach also included online drop-in sessions and a ride-along with Route 40 bus operators to hear their thoughts. Based on this feedback, we’ve developed concepts for Route 40 improvements and would like your feedback. Your continuing input will help us refine and prioritize our concepts.
To learn more about the proposed concepts and share your thoughts:
- Watch the project update video.
Learn more about our proposed changes along the Route 40 corridor in our 25-minute pre-recorded presentation. - Take our online survey by April 16.
Let us know your thoughts on the proposed changes. - Attend an online drop-in session.
Join us April 7th 5:30 to 6:30 pm or April 8th 12:00 to 1:00 pm.
It is highly recommended that you watch the project update video before attending a drop-in session.
