The region was grinning from ear to ear most of this past weekend. Positively giddy. Not just because the Ms were making a thrilling run for the playoffs, and not because the Seahawks and Sounders added to their win columns.
Over a few quick days, we celebrated milestones that were decades in the making. Confetti and lasers, poetry, live music, dancing and food trucks, and linked arms crossing a bridge to opportunity that works to balance past wrongs.
Please take time to see the joy in these moments, and remember we did this thing together, and we are stronger as a region for it.
Thanks for joining us on this ride!

My one bus commute is now a bus, a train and a bus…and it takes longer. Why get rid of the 522 service to downtown???

I’m glad to hear of all these new light rail advances, but certain parts of Burien are still without weekend public transportation. We need more attention to this matter!

Fantastic to be able to ride Link all the way from King Station back home to Roosevelt without having to transfer to a local bus.
In addition to Sound Transit’s efforts, an enormous amount of logistics work by Metro has gone into making all this happen. Congratulations!
