Editors note: Due to the brief nature of the scheduled bridge closures, there will be no more reroutes of buses.
Riders should prepare for expected travel delays on RapidRide C Line and routes 21, 50, and 120 on Sundays beginning Dec. 19 due to brief closures of the lower West Seattle Bridge for scheduled measurements of the bridge by the City of Seattle.
Each closure could take up to 30 minutes. The scheduled closure times are the same each day: During lulls in traffic around 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. (Each closure may take less than the scheduled 30 minutes.) Some bus trips may be rerouted depending on the work schedule.
The Seattle Department of Transportation has announced the planned dates for these Sunday lower bridge closures:
- Dec. 19
- Jan. 9
- Jan. 16
- Jan. 23
- Jan. 30
