Metro to provide free masks during flu season

King County Metro will provide free disposable masks to help riders stay healthy during cold and flu season. Onboard dispensers will offer masks from October through May.

Masks were previously available year-round and Metro is proud to have distributed an estimated 16 million masks in support of rider health since 2020. Riders are always welcome to wear masks on public transportation.

  1. Only genuine N95 masks make a difference. Anything else is theater.
    Don’t fool people! Give them N95 masks, or nothing at all. Of course, I prefer the former option (giving people N95 masks)
