Starting May 13: Metro restoring bus trips in Auburn, Enumclaw, Federal Way, Mercer Island, Renton and Tukwila

Riders will have more frequent bus options on weekdays as King County Metro restores 79 trips across six routes starting May 13.

These routes are part of Metro’s DART (Dial-A-Ride) service, which offers both a set schedule and a flexible service area when a rider reserves in advance. Delivered by Metro partner Hopelink, DART vehicles feature bicycle racks and wheelchair lifts.

Route 204: 10 more trips each weekday on Mercer Island. Service will start earlier in the morning and end later in the evening. Also, frequency will improve to every 30 minutes during peak periods.Route 204 on Mercer Island map

Route 901: 26 more trips each weekday in Federal Way (Mirror Lake). Service frequency will improve to every 30 minutes for most of the day.

Route 903: 13 more trips each weekday in Federal Way (Twin Lakes). Service frequency will improve to every 30 minutes for most of the day.

Route 915: Four more trips each weekday in Auburn/Enumclaw. Service frequency will improve during peak periods.

  1. The northwest section of Sammamish has…….nothing. There used to be a DART in this neck of the woods. That went away and never came back. Metro Flex operates in a service area that is already served by other buses (ST554, 269). The closest bus stop is over a mile away to walk. Could Metro Flex be expanded to areas that are not being served?

  2. Hoping Route 635 (Des Moines-Angle Lake) adds new service on Sundays by 2025 for more options on Sundays, other than hourly 165, and to connect more directly with light rail and the waterfront and businesses nearby. Really excited and emotional for Sunday service added to 635.
