Earn rewards when you bike or scoot to transit!

As we step into fall, King County Metro, in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), Sound Transit and Lime, is offering a new exciting promotion for those connecting their rides on shared bikes or scooters with public transit. Whether you’re hopping on a bus or catching the Link light rail, you can now earn rewards just by riding and parking at certain transit hubs.

What’s new this year?

Launching on September 16, the Bike and Scoot to Transit pilot now makes it even easier to ride transit and get rewarded. Here’s what’s new:

  • Expanded partnership: We’ve joined forces with SDOT and Sound Transit to broaden the program. 14 Seattle Link light rail stations are now included: Northgate, Roosevelt, U-District, University of Washington, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, International District/Chinatown, Stadium, SODO, Beacon Hill, Mount Baker, Columbia City, Othello and Rainier Beach.
  • New rewards structure: Earn more points than ever by parking a Lime bike or scooter in designated parking spots near transit stations and connecting to your next ride within 24 hours. These rewards are designed to make your commute more convenient, affordable and greener.
  • More designated parking spots: We’ve added new designated parking spots for bikes and scooters, making it easier for you to move from scooter and bike share to transit. These preferred parking spots help keep stations safe and tidy while making it easy to complete your transfer.

How It works

  • Connect your accounts: After downloading the Lime and Transit GO Ticketing apps, sign up for Rewards and connect your Lime account. When you connect, you’ll instantly earn 300 points, enough for a transit ticket, ensuring you can quickly start using rewards for your combined trips.
  • Take a qualifying trip: Each time you ride a Lime scooter or bike and park it at a preferred parking spot, you will automatically earn 300 points. These points can be redeemed within 24 hours for future transit fares!
  • Participate in surveys: After completing a qualifying trip, you will be invited to take a short survey about your experience. This feedback helps us improve the program and tailor it to your needs. Plus, you’ll earn even more points for participating.

Why participate?

The Bike and Scoot to Transit program is more than just a way to earn rewards; it’s a great way to contribute to a more sustainable and connected transportation system. By combining bikes or scooters with public transit, we can reduce traffic congestion, improve our air quality, and make it easier to get to transit.

And Lime’s new sit-down gliders, introduced to Seattle last month, are eligible.

Join us this fall for a season of smarter, greener, and more rewarding travel. Set up your accounts today and start earning rewards with every ride!
