Anchors Aweigh! Transit is a great way to travel to T-Mobile Park for Mariners games
With a new Captain at the helm, it is time to set sail on the good ship Mariners!
The shout of “PLAY BALL!!” is coming up for the 2025 voyage of Seattle Mariners Baseball.
Manager Dan Wilson and the new-look Mariners open the season with a visit from the Athletics on March 27 and close with games against the World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers. Between the A’s and the Dodgers, the Mariners will see the Astros, Rangers, and the annual visit of the Yankees, Red Sox, and Blue Jays. The interleague slate includes the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals and the Seattle Pilots—better known as the Milwaukee Brewers.
Pack your glove—and maybe a warm coat for the first couple of weeks—but leave your car at home. Getting to T-Mobile Park using transit can be as easy as Cal Raleigh throwing out a runner trying to steal second!
Don’t get caught in a rundown, map out your route
King County Metro’s one-stop shop has everything you need to take transit to the game.
Start your game day by planning your trip to the game. To plan the best route, you can use Trip Planner, or call Metro Customer Service at 206-553-3000 weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don’t forget to press 1 for an interpreter.
At the bus stop, you can text your bus stop number to 62550 to see when the next bus is departing.
Also, don’t forget to sign up for Transit Alerts for your favorite routes to help you keep your eye on the ball on game day.
In response to customer feedback, there will be an extra post-game trip on the RapidRide D Line and on Routes 550 and 554 so you’ll have company if you want to talk about that great J-Rod catch in deep center! For afternoon Mariner games, Metro Rt 21 will be detoured post-game to help with traffic around T-Mobile.
If you’re coming from south King County or north Seattle, Link light rail is an awesome connection to T-Mobile. This will be the first full season Link will bring you from Lynnwood to home plate! Metro has routes that will connect you to the light rail stops along the 1 Line.
We also have a travel map that can help ensure you won’t “strike out” as you make your way into Pioneer Square.
West Seattle and Vashon fans can be true “Mariners” traveling to games
Relax before the game by riding the King County Water Taxi over to downtown and make the walk, roll, or scoot from Pier 50 to T-Mobile. This season, fans coming from Vashon for afternoon games can use the water taxi to get to and from games (if the game doesn’t go into extra innings)
Water Taxi service ends for both West Seattle and Vashon at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. But don’t worry, after the game, take a stroll back to Alaskan Way S. at S. Jackson St. and catch a bus back to West Seattle, with the RapidRide C Line (which connects with the Washington State Ferry to Vashon), the RapidRide H Line or other routes.
How to pay:
You don’t want to miss any of the action, so use your ORCA Card to help board quickly. Don’t have an ORCA Card yet? MyOrca.com is the place to go to purchase a card, or local grocery stores or ticket vending machines at light rail stations. If you want to use your mobile device to pay your fare, download the Transit GO Ticket app on your mobile device prior to boarding. Your personal ORCA card can be added to your Google Wallet on Android devices so you can tap your phone to pay your fare.
Link light rail fare is $3 per trip. A $6 ORCA day pass added to your card lets you travel all day for the price of two fares.
Water Taxi fares for adults to West Seattle is $5.75 one way ($5 with an ORCA card). Fares to Vashon are $6.75 for adults ($5.75 with an ORCA card).
If you ride the bus to the game, that will cost you $2.75.
