Metro Weekend Update – April 18-20, 2025

Weekend Service Impacts

  • Route 8 Stop #2291 (Denny Way & Westlake Avenue Westbound) will be closed from 9 a.m. on Friday, April 18 to 6 a.m. on Monday April 21;
  • Route 36 Stop #30390 (Beacon Avenue S & S Spencer Street Northbound) will be closed from Friday, April 18 through Monday, April 28;
  • Route 36 Stop #3883 (Beacon Avenue S & S Columbian Way Southbound) will be closed on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day;
  • Route 49 will be rerouted off Harvard Avenue E, between E Allison Street and Eastlake Avenue E, from Saturday April 19 through Sunday August 31;
  • Water Taxi: West Seattle service will be suspended the morning of Sunday April 20 due to underwater cleaning at Seacrest Dock.
    • Regular service will resume beginning with 1:30pm departure from Pier 50;
  • All services running normally scheduled Sunday service on April 20 for the Easter holiday;

Service Reminders

  • Take transit to all your sporting and community events in Seattle. Metro and Link light rail serve riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field, and Climate Pledge Arena;
    • Seattle Reign FC will have a match at 7 p.m. on Friday at Lumen Field;
    • Seattle Sounders will have a match at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lumen Field;
    • Phish will perform on both Friday and Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena;
  • Water Taxi started the new summer sailing schedule on Saturday, April 12 with the return of late-night weekend service to West Seattle;
    • West Seattle service will be suspended the morning of Sunday April 20 due to underwater cleaning at Seacrest Dock;
  • Seattle Center Monorail will operate 7:30 am to 12:30 a.m. on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
  • Riders can use Text for Departures by texting their stop number to 62550 to get next departure times;
  • Remember, it’s free and easy to sign up for email or text alerts about King County Metro service. Alerts can be tailored to your favorite route(s).
