Prepare for reroutes due to demonstrations on Saturday, June 14

Several buses traveling in downtown Seattle on city streets.

About two dozen bus routes are expected to be temporarily rerouted midday Saturday, June 14, because of a planned march and demonstration in Capitol Hill and downtown Seattle.

We have communicated planned route changes to riders via email and text transit alerts and rider alerts posted at affected bus stops. Service will be affected on routes 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 21, 28, 36, 40, 49, 60, 62, 70, 101, 131, 132, 150, Sound Transit Express Routes 545 and 554, and RapidRide C and E lines. Details are posted on our Service Advisories webpage.

As demonstrations and public expression take place across our region, our top priority remains ensuring reliable, safe and uninterrupted service for all our riders. We are committed to keeping our community moving—while honoring the values that make it strong.

Before traveling, we recommend riders visit our Service Advisories webpage to check their route for updates. The Seattle Department of Transportation and other local jurisdictions are the best source for street closure information.

Demonstrations are also scheduled in cities throughout King County on Saturday. Those areas may also experience disruptions or slowdowns to routes as well as increased pedestrian congestion. Be prepared for these impacts and please allow extra time when you travel.

  1. Allowing this behavior constantly in Seattle is absolutely unacceptable! Destroying public property & our city is proving our officials are the problem not our president! Stop allowing this to continue! Your keeping folks away from wanting to be out enjoying events

    1. Go touch some grass if you really think complaining on a bus forum where they’re simply stating detours and reroutes is actually going to accomplish anything.

      1. Well.. they *did* post as Anoymous, which I read as “annoy mouse!”
