Metro Weekend Update – August 8-10, 2025
Weekend Service Impacts
- Construction
- Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 13, 14, 21, 24, 27, 28, 33, 36, 40, 49, 62, 70, 101, 124, 131, 132, 150 RapidRide C, D, E, and H Line will have some stops closed in downtown Seattle Saturday, August 9 at 7 a.m. to Sunday, August 10 at 7 p.m. due to a road closure on 3rd Avenue between Stewart Street & Pine Street; more information available on our Service Advisories page;
- Route 8 will have stop #2285 Denny Way & Fairview Avenue N (westbound) closed from Friday, August 8 at 7 p.m. to Saturday, August 9 at 5 a.m.;
- Route 8 will be rerouted off Denny Way between 5th Avenue and E Olive Way from Saturday, August 9 at 10 p.m. to Sunday, August 10 at 5 a.m.;
- Routes 40 and RapidRide C Line will have stop #26690 Westlake & 9th-Denny (northbound) closed from Thursday, August 7 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, August 10 at 5 a.m.;
- Route 24 will have atop #24300 34th Avenue W & W Dravus Street (northbound) closed Saturday, August 9 from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 10 from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. due to construction.
- Route 49 will have stop #10990 10th Avenue E & E Galer Street (southbound) is closed Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily;
- Routes 62 and 75 will be rerouted off southbound Sand Point Way NE between NE 70th Street and NE 65th Street from Friday, August 8 at 7 a.m. to Monday, August 11 at 5 p.m.;
Events
- Routes 131 and 132 will have stop #45910 4th Avenue S & S Dawson Street (southbound) will be relocated Saturday, August 9 to Sunday, August 10 from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. daily due to the Alphabet Vodka Dayfade Block Party;
- Route 2 to W Queen Anne will be rerouted off E Union Street and Seneca Street between E Madison Street and Boren Avenue on Saturday, August 9 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the On The Block event;
- Route 231 will be rerouted in Downtown Woodinville from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 due to the Celebrate Woodinville Parade;

Service Reminders
- Take transit to all your sporting and community events in Seattle. Metro and Link light rail serve riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field, and Climate Pledge Arena;

Seattle Mariners have games at 6:40 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1:10 p.m. on Sunday at T-Mobile Park;
- Lady Gaga will have a concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena;

- Water Taxi started the new summer sailing schedule on Saturday, April 12 with the return of late-night weekend service to West Seattle;
- Revive I-5 will cause major disruptions. Two northbound I-5 lanes across the Ship Canal Bridge will be closed 24/7 for the duration of the project. The Express Lanes will stay open northbound from July 18 to August 18 around the clock to help keep traffic moving;
- Seattle Center Monorail will operate 7:30 a.m. to midnight on Friday, 8:30 to midnight on Saturday, and 8:30 to 11 p.m. on Sunday. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
- Riders can use Text for Departures by texting their stop number to 62550 to get next departure times;
