Celebrate at the Seattle Pride Parade and travel with Metro!
The Seattle Pride Parade is back and more fabulous than ever on Sunday, June 28, with hundreds of thousands of people expected to attend to honor our LGBTQIA+ community—and have a lot of fun. It’s likewise a meaningful moment to observe the ongoing work to advance equity, dignity and support for LGBTQIA+ people.
We’re encouraging everyone to plan ahead and ride transit if they are traveling to or around downtown Seattle to ease their trips.
Riding with Pride every year
King County and Metro will again proudly join the parade with our “Ride with Pride” bus surrounded by hundreds of county employees and families. This year we also will feature one of our newest battery-electric buses.
We continue to reaffirm and celebrate our steadfast commitment to diversity, fairness and justice. Our community is strong and tireless, and we support our LGBTQIA+ employees and community members.
Expect congestion and bus reroutes downtown
The event starts at 11 a.m. on Fourth Avenue at Union Street and travels north to Second Avenue and Denny Way. From about 7 a.m. until about 5 p.m., Fourth Avenue in downtown Seattle will be affected by street closures and traffic congestion associated with the parade.
Please allow extra travel time. Transit service will be rerouted off Fourth Avenue and many King County Metro bus routes will be affected by this event. For information about reroutes, visit our Service Advisories page for updated information and sign up for transit alerts to receive updates for your favorite routes.
Riding transit to the parade?
Metro buses connect communities to downtown Seattle and Sound Transit’s Link 1 and 2 Line stations across King County. Together, they are great options to bypass traffic congestion and travel to – and under – downtown Seattle.
Use Metro’s online regional Trip Planner or call the Customer Information Office on weekdays at 206-553-3000 to plan transit trips. Text your stop ID to 62550 to see when your bus will depart from your stop.
Pop up to watch the parade. Consider packing a water bottle – or umbrella – for your trip to the parade. We appreciate everyone’s patience as our drivers navigate high travel demand and traffic disruptions all day Sunday.
