Please leave at least the 3 or 4 on Jefferson. I use a cane and need to get downtown. The attorneys at 14th and Jefferson rely on the buses to get to Court, and our clients, many who are youths or do not drive rely on the bus to come to our office. Yesler would be a hardship.
FOR ME IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW THAT MY BUS DRIVER WAS DOING THE POSTED SPEED LIMITS AND NOT SPEEDING AND THEN HAVING THEM TELLING ME TO BE SAFE WHEN THEY ARE NOT DRIVING SAFE WITH A BUS LOADED TO THE MAX AND THEN SOME. AS TODAY MY DRIVER ON THE C LINE WAS DOING 60 MPH GOING EAST BOUND ON HWY 99 IN A POSTED 40 MPH SPEED ZONE. AS I WAS LEAVING THE BUS TO TOLD THE DRIVER WE AS RIDERS CAN SEE HOW FAST THEY ARE DRIVING AND THE DRIVER STATED HE WAS ONLY DOING THE POSTED 40 MPH WHICH IS NOT TRUE AS WHEN THE NEEDLE ON THE SPEEDOMETER IS AT AROUND 2 OCLOCK THE DRIVER IS GOING AROUND 60 MPH!!!!!!! THIS IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM AND AT SOME POINT IN TIME METRO IS GOING TO BE DEALING WITH SOME KIND OF A MAJOR CRASH WITH LOTS OF INJURIES AND OR DEATHS BECAUSE OF THIS WRECKLESS DRIVING FROM THE METRO DRIVERS!!! JUST SAD AS I USED TO FEEL SAFE RIDING METRO YET THAT HAS BEEN CHANGING ALOT AS OF THE LAST FEW YEARS.
Priorities seem mis-aligned.
So Metro is slashing bus service but has money to buy fancy new trollies?
