Metro Weekend Update – August 30th to September 2nd, 2024
Weekend Service Impacts
- Routes 44, 45, 48, 65, 67, 73, 75, 255, 372, and ST 542 will be affected in the Montlake area on Saturday, August 31 from 6 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. during the Husky football game and for post game traffic revisions;
- Routes 221, 226, 240, 241, 245, 271, ST 554 and Trailhead Direct buses will not serve Stop #67014 Eastgate P&R – Bay 1 (Westbound) from 5:45 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, August 31 during Husky Service Shuttles; buses will serve Bay 2 instead;
- Routes 221, 226, and 245 will be rerouted off of NE 8th Street between 164th Avenue NE and 156th Avenue NE during the Flavors of India Parade from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 1;
- South Lake Union Streetcar continues to have service suspended until further notice;

Service Reminders
- Take transit to all your sporting events in Seattle. Metro and Link light rail serves riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field, and Climate Pledge Arena;
- The Storm will have a game at the Climate Pledge Arena at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 30;
- The Huskies will have a game at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 31 at Husky Stadium;
- Water Taxi will continue a year-round midday and extended summer weekend sailing schedule;
- The summer sailing schedule began April 15 and will run through October 11. Find the summer sailing schedule on the Water Taxi’s Captain’s Blog;
- Seattle Center Monorail will be operate on Friday and Saturday until midnight and Sunday until 11 p.m. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
- Riders can use Text for Departures by texting their stop number to 62550 to get next departure times;
- Remember, it’s free and easy to sign up for email or text alerts about King County Metro service. Alerts can be tailored to your favorite route(s).
