Metro Weekend Update – September 27th to 29th, 2024
Weekend Service Impacts
Events
- RapidRide D Line will be rerouted off the Ballard Bridge from Friday, September 27th at 10 p.m. until Monday, September 30th at 5 a.m. at all times;
- Route 2 will have stop #3210 E Union Street & 23rd Avenue (Eastbound) closed on Saturday, September 28th from 7 a.m. to midnight
- Routes 3, 10, 11, 12, 49 and ST 550 will be rerouted off Pike Street between 4th Avenue and 7th Avenue from Saturday, September 28th at 7 a.m. to Sunday, September 29th at 4 p.m.;
- Routes 36 and 60 will be rerouted southbound off Beacon Avenue S between 15th Avenue S and S McClellan Street on Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day;
- Routes 255, 271, ST 542 and ST 545 will be rerouted in both directions during the SR 520 floating bridge closure from Friday, September 27th at 11 p.m. through Monday, September 30th at 5 a.m.;
Construction
- Route 21 will be affected in both directions during Mariners afternoon home games; stops on portions of 1st Avenue S will not be served; use alternate stops on 4th Avenue S instead;

- Route 3 will be rerouted off of E Cherry Street between 23rd Avenue and ML King Jr Way from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 28th during the Wa Na Wari’s Walk the Block event;
- Routes 44, 45, 49, 70, 75, and 372 will be rerouted off NE 43rd Street on Saturday, September 28th from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the U District Chow Down & Street Party;

Service Reminders
- The Washington State Department of Transportation warns that there will be a lot of traffic throughout King County as they have a ‘Monster Weekend’ of construction. This construction will directly impact Routes 255, 271, ST 542 and ST 545 and could likely cause delays on other routes;

- Take transit to all your sporting events in Seattle. Metro and Link light rail serves riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field, and Climate Pledge Arena;
- The Seattle Mariners have games at 7:10 p.m. on Friday, at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday and at 12:10 p.m. on Sunday all at T-Mobile Park;
- The Seattle Sounders have a match at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lumen Field;
- The Seattle Reign have a match at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Lumen Field;
- Water Taxi will continue a year-round midday and extended summer weekend sailing schedule;
- The summer sailing schedule began April 15 and will run through October 11. Find the summer sailing schedule on the Water Taxi’s Captain’s Blog;
- Seattle Center Monorail will operate regular hours all weekend except for Saturday when it will be open until midnight. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
- Riders can use Text for Departures by texting their stop number to 62550 to get next departure times;
