Metro Weekend Update – December 8-10, 2023

Weekend Service Impacts

  • Routes 43, 48, 255, 271, & ST 542 will be rerouted during the closure of Montlake Blvd E starting Friday, December 8 at 10 p.m. and ending as late as Monday, December 11 at 5 a.m.;
  • Route 50 & RapidRide C Line will be rerouted off of SW Alaska St between California Ave SW and Fauntleroy Ave SW from 7 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, December 9, during the GLOWS Festival;
  • Route 255 to University District will be rerouted off Market St between 18th Ave W and Central Wy from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 10, during the 12 Ks of Christmas run;

Service Reminders

  • Take transit to all your holiday, sporting and community events in Seattle. Metro and Link light rail serves riders heading to T-Mobile Park, Husky Stadium, Lumen Field and Climate Pledge Arena;
    • Seattle Kraken host the Tampa Bay Lightening at 7 p.m. on Saturday and the Minnesota Wild at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Climate Pledge Arena;
  • Water Taxi will continue a year-round midday and weekend sailing schedule; 
  • Seattle Center Monorail will be open late from 7:30 a.m. to midnight on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday this weekend. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
