Access Paratransit Advisory Committee (APAC)
APAC advises King County Metro Transit, the King County Executive and King County Council on issues related to Access paratransit, Metro’s transportation service for people whose disability prevents them from riding regular buses and trains. Members can serve up to two terms and each term is two years long.
APAC consists of King County residents that are selected by the King County Executive and confirmed by the King County Council. Membership is made up of:
- Access paratransit riders
- Family members or caregivers of Access paratransit riders
- Representatives of organizations that provide services or support Access paratransit riders
APAC is recruiting new members for King County Council Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 9. You can find the council district you live in with this map.
We encourage all Access riders, including youth, persons of color, persons with disabilities and/or limited English proficiency to apply.

TAC advises Metro’s staff members and general manager, the King County Executive and King County Council, local jurisdictions and related transportation boards about transit policy issues, projects and programs. This commission is made up of transit riders that reflect the diversity of county residents including people with disabilities or seniors who use fixed-route services and people that work with these riders.

ridership.
Correction of auto completion.
I’m in district 2. We have access to good public transportation. I would like to see it better utilized. Have we considered the possibility of combining transportation modes to make a significant increase in readership and reduce vehicular travel for a portion of the trip? This seems like it could be more effective than attempting to reduce vehicular travel entirely by reducing the efficiency of automobile travel without a one for one implementation of alternative transportation for the entire route.
